Red Waterlilly Pond
Acrylic on canvas. Number 4 in 'The X over' series.
I have called this 'The X over series" because it mixes my printing and painting styles into one. Done during Covid lockdown. It explores the connections to others and the spaces between. My love of colour and design are expressed in the strange and beautiful Australian creatures and nature paintings.
Material: Acrylic on canvas
Jennifer’s series of colourful layered negative space paintings of Australian creatures sit in the Papermill Artisans gallery. Featuring beetles, birds and lily ponds, these works are a cross-over of painting and printmaking techniques. The artist's work includes print linocut of Australian flora and fauna, as well as natural and organic beeswax wraps. Jen is an artist, a printmaker, a nurse, a naturopath, and a mad gardener. She lives in Geelong but considers herself a global traveller.
