Kari Christine Hawke

A Geelong local, currently living in Ocean Grove, Chris is largely a self-taught artist working mainly in clay and focuses on hand building. She has been making figurative sculptural pieces for about 20 years and has always been passionate about sculpture and making things in general. She started working on figures - especially female forms, and originally worked in various mediums including fibreglass and cement. In recent years she had focused on clay and produced hand-built ceramic forms fired to stoneware that can be displayed either indoor or outdoor as part of gardens. Her work has been shown at Without Pier Gallery and other galleries across the Mornington Peninsula.
